<H2>ABBR/ACRONYM</H2>

<P>These tags provide a method for browsers to display the full text of an acronym or abbreviation when it is the "focus".  This could be done as a tool tip or in the status bar, depending on how the browser manufacturer decides to handle it.

<P>The tags take two key attributes: TITLE, which is the full text of the abbreviated form; and CITE, which contains a URL where the full text of the abbreviated form is explained.  This is a powerful tool, considering how acronym-heavy internet technology is.</B></FONT>
